In the span of about 4 months, I had the opportunity to start my own local business, was offered a modeling contract, got my foot in the door on an excellent marketing team at a B2B software company, and was offered a head coach position for a club volleyball team. And, like the ambitious younger self that I was... I said yes to all of it while still a full-time student.
In this talk, I'd like to share the good, the bad, and the really surprising impacts that my inability to turn down an opportunity have had on my career, and how I think others could benefit professionally by taking on side projects.
